A Singing Sligo is an inclusive, interactive choral workshop celebrating the joy of collective singing, led by award-winning conductor and Sligo native Ciara Murphy.

Open to adults of all musical backgrounds, from complete beginners to experienced singers, the workshop will explore catchy canons and rounds from a range of cultural traditions, including Irish folk melodies, African chants, Scandinavian rhythms and contemporary global canons.

Participants will learn together through guided warm-ups and rehearsals before joining in a relaxed final group performance. No previous singing experience is needed.

Free, welcoming and accessible, A Singing Sligo celebrates collective singing as a way of connecting people across different backgrounds, abilities and experiences.
