Sligo Orpheus and guests raise the rafters with song for Culture Night

We had an overwhelming response to our first Culture Night event ‘Sligo Sings’ in the Chamber at the magnificent Sligo City Hall led by our musical director Ciara Murphy.

 The aim of this workshop, which was open to all, was to enable the participants to experience the magic of collective singing through fun vocal warm ups, textural singing, culminating in an amazing vocal performance in four singing parts. There was a lot of laughter and applause throughout the evening and the entire venture was well received.

The night was a huge success judging by the positive feedback from the attendees and we hope to see some of them at future rehearsals!
